Silk pillowcases
A good silk pillowcase comes down to momme, real mulberry fiber and silk on both sides.

Fit it, wash it, dry it
Measure your pillow
US standard is 20 by 26 inches, queen 20 by 30 and king 20 by 36. Listings from China are often in centimeters, so convert first.
Wash it cold
Turn it inside out. Use cold water and silk-safe detergent, by hand or in a mesh bag on the delicate cycle.
Dry it in shade
Roll it in a towel to press out water, then hang it indoors. Sun fades the color and weakens the fiber.

It feels cool on first touch, then warms with you.

Good to know
Are silk pillowcases worth it?
They are if you like the feel. People say silk means less hair friction and fewer sleep creases, but strong proof is limited. What you can count on is that it feels smoother than cotton.
What momme is best for a silk pillowcase?
22 momme is the common pick. 19 feels lighter and thinner, while 25 is heavier and usually lasts longer.
Is satin the same as silk?
No. Satin is a weave and silk is a fiber. Most cheap satin pillowcases are polyester, so read the fiber label rather than the word satin.
