Small Gathering
xiǎo xù · Wind over HeavenBuild in small ways while the large thing is held back.
Heavy clouds pile up over the western outskirts, but the rain holds off. The way is open, though your power is held back by something small. Gather slowly, since the release has not come yet.
The six lines
You come back to your own path. What fault could there be in that? This is good.
You are drawn back, pulled along with others who are returning too. Holding your center this way is good.
The spokes drop out of the cart, and husband and wife glare at each other. Forcing progress breaks the bond you depend on.
Be sincere, and the threat of bloodshed and the fear can both drain away. Staying honest keeps you free of fault.
Sincerity links you with others, hand clasped in hand. Let what you have enrich your neighbors as well.
Rain has come and settled; virtue has piled up. A wife's persistence is at risk. The moon is nearly full, so pressing on is dangerous.
