Rising Into Daylight
jìn · Fire over EarthStep into view and let your good work be seen.
The lord of Kang is granted horses in plenty and called to court three times before dark. Your effort is coming into view, so step forward openly, the way the sun climbs over the land.
The six lines
You move forward and get pushed back. Keep your integrity. If no one trusts you yet, stay relaxed and generous; patience does no harm.
You advance, yet worry weighs on you. Hold to what is right. Deep kindness can reach you from an elder, as a grandmother's care does.
The people around you trust you and are moving with you. With that shared confidence, earlier regrets lose their hold.
You are advancing like a big rat, grabbing and scurrying in the dark. Even with a fair aim, moving this way is dangerous.
Regret falls away. Stop tallying gains and losses. Keep going with a clear heart, and the way ahead looks open.
At the tip of the horn, use force only to order your own town. Risky, yet it can end well and blameless; pressing further brings shame.
