Staying the Course
héng · Thunder over WindStay constant in your purpose, flexible in your steps.
Wind and thunder keep on together. What endures flows and carries no fault. Stay true and keep moving forward. Lasting things are not frozen; they renew as they go.
The six lines
You want deep permanence right at the start. Demanding it this early is dangerous and brings no gain.
Regret fades. You stay within the middle path and keep to it over time.
You do not hold steady in your character, and shame may come of it. Persisting this way invites regret.
You hunt in a field with no game. However long you stay, you are in the wrong place.
Constant loyalty, steadily kept. In the old image this suits a wife well but is dangerous for a husband who must make decisions.
You keep shaking things up, never settling. Restless motion at the peak of constancy is dangerous.
